After a sailboat was abandoned on a roadway with the word “free” written on the side, authorities in Wisconsin are urging citizens to properly dispose of unneeded boats.
According to a Facebook post from the Wisconsin State Patrol, officers responded to a request for assistance in Washington County and located a boat abandoned on Highway 33.
The word “free” was painted on the side of the boat.
According to the post, “Disclaimer — this is not the proper method for disposing of a boat.”
While patrolling roadways, troopers are regularly presented with perplexing scenes, according to the article.
As per the media, “We cover thousands of road miles every year, running across a variety of unusual things alongside the roadway.”
