Todd and Donna Skinner, who have been raising pumpkins and squash for over 30 years, anticipated their green squash would be spectacular at the Oakland Nursery National Pumpkin Weigh-Off in Dublin, but they were taken aback when it weighed in at 2,164 pounds.
Donna Skinner tells the media, “We had a rough idea that it was going to weigh nice, but not that heavy.”
As per the Oakland Nursery, the Skinners currently hold the world record for the heaviest green squash.
According to the business on the Instagram post, “Truly a sight to be seen.”
