The Indian army violated the ceasefire by resorting to unprovoked firing with artillery and mortar fire along the Line of Control (LoC) and targeted the civilian population on the ChiriKot sector of Mirpur Azad Kashmir.

According to the Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR), the resident of Abbaspur named Mir Muhammad was killed while a girl named Asmat and a woman Khadija Begum were injured due to Indian firing.

The injured were shifted to a nearby medical facility for necessary medical care.

Pakistan army gave befitting reply to India due to which one Indian soldier was killed and three others were injured, Indian Media reported.

Earlier on February 1, Pakistan Foreign office has summoned senior diplomat from the High Commission of India.

India violates ceasefire along LoC in Satwal sector, targets civilians

Pakistan registered strong protest at the ceasefire violations by Indian occupation forces along the Line of Control which resulted in serious injuries to an innocent civilian man.

According Foreign Office Spokesperson, due to indiscriminate and unprovoked firing by the Indian forces in Satwal Sector of LoC today 45 year old Muhammad Safeer resident of village Madarpur, sustained serious injuries.

Condemning the targeting of innocent civilians by the Indian occupation forces, it was underscored that such senseless Indian acts, in clear violation of the 2003 Ceasefire Understanding and complete disregard for international human rights and international norms, the spokesperson added.

The Spokesperson said that India cannot divert attention from the worsening human rights situation in the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
