The Ministry of Interior has extended the expiration date of Pakistani Passports till June 2020 due to the out break of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Ministry of Interior says the decision has been made in the wake of coronavirus as passport offices are not issuing new identity cards and passports.

Amid the pandemic the federal government and provincial governments have been directed to close all ministries and departments and their public dealing offices to mitigate the adverse effects of coronavirus.

The Ministry of Interior had directed all divisions, ministries, and their attached departments for “closure of all public service delivery offices for public dealing” as precautionary and preventive measures against the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and to mitigate its adverse effects.
