A dust storm hit Karachi and the city was engulfed in strong dusty winds for a long time.

According to the Meteorological Department, a system of westerly winds is passing through the country. There is a possibility of thunder and rain. Thunderstorm cells have formed in the northern part of the city.

The meteorological department said the wind was blowing at a speed of 54 to 74 kmph.

The power supply was suspended in most areas after the storm. Power was cut off in Saddar, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Lyari, Orangi Town, Malir, New Karachi, Korangi and other areas.

The meteorological department’s power supply was also suspended due to strong winds.

Power supply suspended in different areas including Malir Halt, Moinabad, Tariq Bin Ziad Society, Model Colony, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Defense View, Mahmoodabad, Qayyumabad after strong winds and rain.
