The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) will help footballers affected by the coronavirus and lockdown. The PFF has started planning to spend the grant from FIFA on sports and players.

Pakistan Football Federation General Secretary Manizeh Zainli said that FIFA has decided to give a special grant of 1.5 million dollars to each member country. Pakistan Football Federation will also benefit from this step of FIFA but is still waiting for an official letter.

Manizeh Zainli revealed that the Pakistan Football Federation has already started work on player relief.

Manizeh Zainli was appointed secretary-general of the federation by the PFF normalization committee in February this year. She is the first female secretary-general in the history of the PFF, but she also faced criticism from opponents at the time of her appointment.

She said she doesn’t care about criticism, she doesn’t have to be a footballer or a boy for a management position.

The PFF Secretary-General said that he wished that the Women’s Football League in Pakistan would be started soon and the grant of  500,000 from FIFA for women’s football could be helpful in this regard.

She said that due to the lockdown, many issues of PFF have been put on hold and as soon as the situation returns to normal, work on other issues of football including Women’s League will be taken forward.

Manizeh Zainli said that she wants to bring Pakistan football in the top teams or at least bring it back to the position where it used to be a few years ago.
