Rangers operations in different areas of Karachi, 12 suspects arrested
Rangers have arrested 12 suspects while conducting operations in different areas of Karachi.
According to Sindh Rangers spokesperson, Rangers have arrested target killer Nadeem from Nazimabad area.
The sources also said that two extortionists have been arrested from Shahra-e-Faisal and Jackson areas. Among the arrested extortionists are Khurram Ali and Ajmal Khan.
On the other hand, Rangers, while conducting operations in Chakiwara, Jackson and Nazimabad arrested seven accused involved in street crime.
Two drug dealers from Kalakot and Gulshan-e-Maymar were also arrested, sources said.
Earlier, The Sindh government had sent the summary for extension of powers of Rangers for 90 days in the province, which was approved by the federation.
Sindh Rangers have given special powers in the entire province, including Karachi, under Section 4 (3) of the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997 for 90 days. Following the extension, Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) will have special powers from April 2, 2020 to June 30, 2020.
