Schools to reopen from June 15

The Private Schools Action Committee has announced that the school will reopen in three phases from June 15, 2020.

Speaking at a press conference at Karachi Press Club, Pervez Haroon, Chairman Private Schools Action Committee, said that the committee rejects the government’s decision to keep schools closed till September. They are deprived of going to school and this decision of the government has deprived 50 million more children of education.

He further said that the federal government has decided all schools and madrassas should be allowed to open immediately with full SOPs on smart lockdown.

He said that not only millions of students are being affected by the closure of schools but also teachers, clerks, school van drivers, booksellers, stationery and canteen staff are facing unemployment and starvation.
