Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the best results of smart lockdown are being received in the country.

The Prime Minister chaired a meeting at the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) on the coronavirus situation in the country, which was attended by federal ministers, special assistants and senior military officials including Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

Provincial officials also attended the meeting through video link.

During the meeting, officials of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and Health Department briefed on the latest situation of Coronavirus.

The 100-day performance report of the National Command and Operations Center was also presented to the Prime Minister on the occasion, on which the Prime Minister paid tributes to the NCOC.

The Prime Minister was also briefed on the results of Smart Lockdown in the country, on which he said that the best results of Smart Lockdown are being received.

The briefing further said that according to the IMF World Economic Survey, the trend of Pakistan’s economy has come down from 0.4 to 1.1. Between May 20 and July 19, Pakistani exports outperformed the rest of the region.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister said that the positive results of smart lockdown have come to light. The wheel of the economy is also turning with smart lockdown during Coronavirus.

Imran Khan said that the problems of Pakistan’s working class and the poor are also being solved. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s economic situation has also improved.

He appreciated the efforts of the NCOC and said that the NCOC had formulated the best strategy in the country during the epidemic. NCOC monitors the health sector on a daily basis.

The Prime Minister said that the NCOC had set up database management and SOPs to make the best use of resources.

It may be recalled that the number of people infected with Coronavirus has crossed 225,000 across the country while 4,619 people have died so far.

On the other hand, addressing a function in Islamabad, Federal Minister for Information Shibli Faraz said that the Prime Minister’s Smart Lockdown Policy has been adopted by the world. Coronavirus threat is not completely eliminated, it still exists.
