According to the Meteorological Department, the wind is blowing at a speed of 40-44 km per hour in the city of Quaid at present while dusty winds are blowing in the northern and western parts of the city.

On the other hand, a dust storm hit Bahadurabad, Gulistan-e-Jauhar and adjoining areas of Karachi which frightened everyone while dusty winds were blowing at a speed of 40-45 kmph.

It may be recalled that a rain alert was issued in the city from tonight (Sunday).

The Meteorological Department said that there is a danger of urban flood in Karachi, Thatta, Hyderabad and Badin due to heavy rains on Monday and Tuesday.

It is to be noted that along with the rains, there is a possibility of thunderstorms and there is a danger of widespread destruction due to strong winds. All the concerned institutions should take all precautionary measures before the monsoon rains.
