The United States is considering a full time ban on Chinese social media applications including Tik Tok, said the secretary of state, Mike Pompeo.

US Secretary of State in a recent interview, said that “With respect to Chinese apps on people’s cell phones, I can assure you the United States will get this one right too, Laura,” he said. “I don’t want to get out in front of the President [Donald Trump], but it’s something we’re looking at.”

Washington’s top diplomat added that people should only download the app “if you want your private information in the hands of the Chinese Communist Party.” No certain comments made by Tik Tok in this regard.
Earlier India blocked 59 apps developed by Chinese firms, due to concerns that the apps were engaging in activities that threatened the “national security and defense of India,” according to the Indian government.
