Pakistan has issued a response to the agreement between the United Arab Emirates and Israel.

According to details, Foreign Office spokesman Zahid Hafiz Chaudhry, while reacting to the UAE-Israel agreement, said that Pakistan has reviewed the UAE-Israel agreement and concluded that it is a development that has far-reaching consequences.

The statement also said, “Pakistan has an abiding commitment to the full realization of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including the right to self-determination. Peace and stability in the Middle East region is also Pakistan’s key priority.”

The spokesman said that Pakistan fully expresses its solidarity with the legitimate right of the Palestinians to self-determination as peace and stability in the Middle East is one of Pakistan’s priorities.

He said that Pakistan supports a two state solution in accordance with UN and OIC resolutions for lasting peace.

“Pakistan’s approach will be guided by our evaluation of how Palestinians’ rights and aspirations are upheld and how regional peace, security and stability are preserved,” the statement added.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump has announced that Israel and the United Arab Emirates have decided to normalize relations with each other.

According to a joint statement by Trump, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed Al Nahyan said that they hoped the “historic breakthrough will advance peace in the Middle East”.
