ISLAMABAD: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan telephoned Prime Minister Imran Khan. The two leaders exchanged greetings on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.

According to details, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called Prime Minister Imran Khan and discussed important regional issues. The two leaders reiterated their commitment to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.

The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over the support of the Turkish President for the Kashmir cause. The Turkish President expressed his determination to continue supporting Pakistan on the Kashmir issue. The two leaders decided to remain in touch on issues of common interest.

Congratulating the Turkish President on the reopening of the Hagia Sophia Mosque, Imran Khan said that millions of Pakistanis watched the scenes of the mosque on TV. The Prime Minister also praised Erdogan’s efforts to deal with coronavirus.

The Prime Minister thanked the Turkish President for providing assistance to various countries, including Pakistan, and the two leaders discussed economic development and saving human lives.

Pakistan and Turkey agreed on joint efforts on medicine development. The Prime Minister said that Pak-Turkish strategic relations and mutual trust were essential.
