Motorway gang-rape: Police Manage To Reach Culprits

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar said that Police have managed to reach the real culprits of Motorway gang-rape case in less than 72 hours.

He said this during a press conference with provincial ministers and IG Punjab in Lahore.

“A reward of Rs 25.25 lakh has been announced for those who help in the arrest of the accused and the names of those who helped in the arrest of the accused will be kept confidential,” CM Punjab Usman Buzdar said.

He further said, “I have instructed the police and the concerned agencies to take steps to prevent such incidents. I have also contacted the victim and assured her of justice.”

IG Punjab Inam Ghani said that the accused have not been arrested yet. The Police in the civilian dress raided the accused Abid Ali and his wife but they flew away. The investigation teams have been formed.

Inam Ghani further said that our team took out the record of Abid Ali in Bahawalnagar, there are four sims registered in Abid Ali’s name.

“Our teams are behind both the accused at the moment. We hope to arrest both the accused soon,” he said.

Earlier, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Political Relations Shahbaz Gill said that the DNA record of one of the accused in the motorway gang-rape case has been matched and the main culprits have been identified.
