After Apple’s new MagSafe Duo-Charger was publicized as part of this year’s iPhone 12 launch without a specific release date, the charger will be available online from December 2nd.

Though Apple had listed the MagSafe Duo Charger as “coming soon” since October, no further information was known so far.

The new accessory is now available for purchase at a price of $ 129. It is important to note that the charger for wireless charging is currently only available by order and not yet in an Apple Store.

The MagSafe Duo is equipped with two charging mats or charging pucks one for the iPhone and one for the Apple Watch and thanks to its foldable design it is easy to transport.

Though the puck of the Apple Watch can be opened to charge it upright, this is not possible with the iPhone puck. In adding, the mobile charging station is only supplied with a USB-C to lightning cable and without a power supply unit. Paired with a 20-watt USB-C power supply from Apple, it can charge an iPhone with up to 11 watts and with a 27-watt power supply with up to 14 watts.
