 Eid ul Adha 2021: NCOC asks provinces to enforce Covid-19 Sops

Planning and Development Minister Asad Umar supervised over a meeting of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) to review the execution of Covid-19 SOPs ahead of Eidul Adha 2021.

During the meeting, the NCOC reflected the rapid spread of the coronavirus in Karachi and Gilgit Baltistan and further contentment over supplementary procedures the Sindh government has taken to prevent the fourth wave of the pandemic.

Whereas the number of ventilators and oxygen cylinders has been further increased by 30 and 500, respectively, in Gilgit Baltistan. The NCOC was informed on raging up the inoculation drive.

It was informed that more than 500,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccines were being diagnosed in Pakistan on a daily basis and vaccination centers will remain closed on the first day of Eid ul Adha.

The NCOC was further prepared that people, including students, travelling abroad were being processed Moderna vaccine. It declared the enforcement of the SOPs and other health guidelines on Eid enormously important and directed all provinces to confirm their implementation.

Furthermore, Chairman NCOC Asad Umar tweeted: “UK is an excellent lesson of vaccination minimizing health impact of Covid. See the graphs below. Cases have risen in current wave in UK at about the same rate as previous wave, but number of people needing hospitalization is much less due to high rate of vaccination achieved.”
