DUBAI: The Pakistan Consulate-General in Dubai has established a new call centre to help citizens in the northern emirates and advised Pakistanis to use the services through their already available app, according to a press statement by the Pakistan Consulate.

According to available reports, the new call centre can handle over 1,000 calls a day besides all the consular services are now available on the PakinDubai app, which was launched by the mission recently. Pakistanis in Dubai and the Northern Emirates have been advised to take advantage of new mobile app and call centre facilities so they won’t have to visit their consulate amid the pandemic.

“Our agents (will) respond and try to resolve issues and guide callers. This is first of its kind (call centre) among our diplomatic missions abroad,” the consulate quoted as saying.

The main exchange number is 04-3973600; while the hotline one is 04-3970412. The emergency number is 056-6472721.

The app is currently available in Google Play Store and will soon be introduced on App Store as well. It will soon have a version in the Urdu language for the benefit of blue-collar workers.
