ISLAMABAD: Noor Mukadam’s father Shaukat Mukadam on Thursday approached the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to challenge the bail granted to the Therapy Works owner and chief executive officer and other employees.

Earlier in the Noor Mukadam case, Additional Sessions Judge (ASJ) Muhammad Ata Rabbani had granted bail to the six employees of Therapy Works including Zahoor, Amjad Mehmood, Dileep Kumar, Abdul Haq, Wamiq Riaz and Samar Abbas against bonds worth Rs5 million.

The former envoy, in his petition, has maintained that “the respondents are threatening” him of “dire consequences” and were abusing the bail granted to them by the court.

The petition also states that the judge, who had granted bail, had made observations about the evidence. He explained that the judge while making the observation ignored the “proper procedure” in deciding such applications.

Therapy Works employees were arrested after an FIR was registered against Zahir Jaffer and others for the alleged murder of Noor Mukadam.
