The first thing to remember is that the Caribbean Sea region is comprised of 13 separate island nations.

There are yet more international territories to explore. Each has its own set of rules, which are subject to change on a regular basis. In the summer and fall of 2020, many of the islands will reopen to visitors. Others have lately reopened.

There are a variety of restrictions that can be applied. Some islands require quarantines even for vaccinated visitors, while others do not require a Covid-19 test at all. The rules differ based on  your country of origin.

The US Centers of Disease Control and Prevention has assigned more destinations to its highest risk category, Level 4, as a result of the Delta variant’s spread. This includes Caribbean places.

Also keep in mind that storm season lasts until November 30. The hardest phase of the season is mid-August through September. Hurricanes have a lower impact on islands in the southern Caribbean than their more northerly neighbours.
