Recently, the US Space Agency, NASA commenced its ambitious journey to explore the Solar System.

The weather conditions were much favorable when the spacecraft jetted off into the space, this morning, i.e. Saturday.

Lucy is aiming to seek Jupiter’s Trojan asteroids to observe them closely, within its 12-year mission duration. The mission has been started to help astronauts learn about the early days of Solar System. Furthermore, they will find out how exactly all the planets took their respective positions in the galaxy.

“At the heart of Lucy is the science and how it’s going to talk to us about the Trojans,” said Thomas Zurbuchen, the associate administrator at NASA.

“It’s so important to go observe them because these asteroids tell us about a chapter of our own story — in this case, the history when the outer planets were forming in the solar system,” he further added.
