Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa were briefed on the coronavirus situation in the country on Monday, said a statement issued by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).
A statement issued by the country’s nerve centre against the coronavirus said that the PM and the COAS were briefed by NCOC DG Major General Asif Mahmood Goraya on the coronavirus situation in the country. He also briefed them on the steps taken by the NCOC to control the spread of the virus.
During the meeting, the PM lauded the NCOC and the provinces for their performance in the control of the spread of the deadly virus. However, he directed the NCOC to focus on the coronavirus vaccination.
The PM also presented Lt Gen Hamood uz Zaman with a memento from the NCOC on his retirement.
