Alia Bhatt removed from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Heera Mandi”

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has finished filming his movie ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, starring Alia Bhatt, and is now truly committed to the pre-production of his Netflix web series ‘Heera Mandi’.

Alia was also offered a role in the web series, but Bhansali and Bhatt both opted against the casting since Alia’s presence felt more important in another project of his, titled ‘Baiju Bawra’.

According to speculation, Ranveer Singh has signed up for Bhansali’s ‘Baiju Bawra’ whilst Alia Bhatt has been officially chosen as the female lead.

Alia also had a choice of working on both projects, but still, it appears that Bhansali and Alia share a mutual understanding and are both willing to collaborate together in upcoming productions when needed.

The project was announced by Bhansali Production in a tweet that reads, “On this auspicious day, we are delighted to make your Diwali happier by announcing our next endeavour.”
