Cristiano Ronaldo gives a shirt to his 11years old fan, “Dream came true”

During Portugal’s World Cup qualifier versus Ireland in Dublin, a young Irish fan was lucky enough to receive the star player’s shirt as a present.

Despite the fact that Portugal’s World Cup qualifier ended in a tie, Cristiano Ronaldo won hearts online after donating his shirt to a young girl who ran onto the pitch to hug him after the game.

The supporter bypassed security and walked onto the pitch after the former European champions were forced to share a draw with the hosts at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin. She raced across the field, wearing an Ireland shirt, to hug Ronaldo.

When ground security was going to remove her, the striker intervened, caressing her head and cuddling her before removing his shirt and giving it to his young admirer.

Despite being fortunate enough to receive the shirt, she wasn’t the only one who invaded the pitch during the qualification.

Another young man had already slipped past security, dashed onto the field, and charged straight towards the 36-year-old. The stewards soon hauled him away.

The little girl, on the other hand, believed that her conduct would result in a hefty £2,500 fine. Fortunately for Addison, the 11-year-old, the Whelan Football Association of Ireland (FAI) issued a statement confirming that no action had been taken against her, according to The 42.

“We want to reassure Addison that of course, she will not face any fine for running onto the pitch and asking for Ronaldo’s jersey,” Cathal Dervan, the FAI’s Media & Football Relations Director, stated. The association, on the other hand, advised fans to desist from future intrusions.

“I jumped over the barrier because I was in the second row. I jumped over the first row and over the barrier,” she tells the media, she went on to describe how the security officers chased her and how Ronaldo requested them to leave her alone.

She added, “So then I was calling him over. He came over to me. I was just in shock and crying and I was like ‘can I have your jersey? Please, please. I’m a big, huge fan’.”

According to the Independent, she captioned her “dream came true” last night when the famed Portuguese footballer gave her his shirt. ie. She also received tickets to attend her favorite team Arsenal play at the Emirates Stadium in London as a result of the viral event, according to the storey.
