KARACHI: The Large Taxpayers Office (LTO) Karachi on Tuesday discussed tax issues with foreign investors from the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce Industries (OICCI) operating in Pakistan.

Shahid Iqbal Baloch, chief commissioner of the Inland Revenue, LTO Karachi, headed the tax team, while Kazi Hifzur Rehman, commissioner of the Inland Revenue, Audit Zone-III, LTO, Karachi, was also present at the meeting held at the OICCI premises.

The meeting discussed the pending tax issues and their effective and workable solutions.

OICCI chief executive and secretary general Abdul Aleem welcomed the Chief Commissioner IR, Large Taxpayers Office, Shahid Iqbal Baloch and Kazi Hifzur Rehman to the OICCI.

Baloch highlighted the LTO Karachi’s role in collection of all the domestic taxes, particularly with reference to the OICCI members who are the highest taxpayers of the country.

The OICCI members shared their views and tax issues with the chief commissioner who also ensured their timely completion and highlighted that the team of officers posted at the LTO, Karachi, are thorough professionals and it was reiterated that all their pending tax issues would be completed as per the law accordingly.

Later, Baloch presented the vote of thanks.
