ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Tuesday allowed the chairman and members of Sindh Public Service Commission to continue working till a verdict on their appeals is issued.

The apex court accepted the petition against the annulment of the appointment of chairman and members of the Sindh Public Service Commission. The officers and employees had lost their jobs due to a court decision.

During the hearing, Advocate General Sindh told the top court that Sindh High Court declared the Public Service Commission Act unconstitutional and has also annulled all the recruitments.

He further told that the court’s decision stopped the recruitment process of 1,000 medical officers.

Lawyer Makhdoom Ali Khan said that the officers recruited in 2018 have also been barred from work.
