COAS appreciates Bahrain’s support in building university in Islamabad
Chief of the Army Staff General (COAS) Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday appreciated Bahrain for its support in building the King Hamad University of Nursing and Associated Medical Sciences in Islamabad.
According to the military’s media wing, the army chief met Commander of Bahrain’s King Hamad University Hospital Major General Dr Sheikh Salman Bin Ateyatallah Al-Khalifa.
“During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, healthcare and Pakistan’s commitment for comprehensive COVID-19 eradication were discussed,” said the ISPR regarding the meeting.

Gen Bajwa assured the general that Islamabad values its relations with Bahrain, adding that “strong defence, diplomatic and economic relations” is a priority for Pakistan. He also lauded Bahrain’s support in building the King Hamad University of Nursing and Associated Medical Sciences in Islamabad.
On the other hand, the Bahraini official appreciated Pakistan’s response in controlling COVID-19, role in the Afghan situation and regional stability. He also pledged to play his part for further improvement in diplomatic cooperation with Pakistan at all levels.
