Doctors boycott OPD services at Civil Hospital Karachi

KARACHI: The Young Doctors’ Association (YDA) on Tuesday boycotted Out-Patient Department (OPD) services at Civil Hospital Karachi over the government’s reluctance to accept their demands.

Addressing the protesting doctors, YDA Sindh chapter Vice Chairmen Dr Waris Jakhrani said that their peaceful protest would continue till the acceptance of their demands, urging the fellow doctors to remain united and keep their struggle up.

Due to the apathy of the Sindh Health Department, patients’ CT and MRI Scan could be carried out, putting their lives on risk, he lamented.

He reiterated his stance that their protest was for welfare of doctors, betterment of hospitals and poor people of the province, vowing that the YDA would stand by each and every the PG, MO and HO.
