Pakistan won the Test match series by 2-0 against Bangladesh, despite the rain-hit match where a complete day was missed due to bad weather and wet pitch.

Bangladesh were all out for 87 in their first inning, after which Pakistan forced the host to take follow-on.

Sajid Khan shone once again with his impressive figures of 4-86, with 8-42 in the first inning.

The Pakistan Cricket Board, on their official Twitter handle, congratulated the national team for the victory.

President of Pakistan, Dr Arif Alve, also lauded the team for their series win.

Babar told us to go for the win: Sajid

Speaking after the day ended on Tuesday, Sajid Khan said skipper Babar Azam “told every one of us to go in for the win. Everyone did that. We attacked them and got rewarded”.

“In the first match, the ball wasn’t turning like this. Even when the ball turned there, the batsmen got time to cope with it,” he added.

“The plan is to get these three wickets, send them to bat again and then bowl them out again.”

When play resumed on Day 4 on Tuesday, Pakistan lost two early wickets when Azhar Ali and Babar both returned to the pavilion in quick succession.

Mohammad Rizwan and Fawad Alam, on the other hand, rose to the situation and struck half-centuries to help the visitors reach 300 before Babar Azam declared the innings.
