Hockey Asia Cup: Pakistan lost to India in the last minute

In the big match of Hockey Asia Cup 2022, Pakistan scored a goal in the last minute and deprived India of a definite victory.

 The most important match in the group between the two teams ended in a 1-1 draw.

The match between the traditional rivals was as interesting as expected, with India maintaining their grip throughout the match and gaining a one-goal lead in the first quarter and in the ninth minute of the match.

The goal for India was scored by debutant Karti Selvam.

Pakistan did its best to equalize the score while India did its best to double its lead.

However, Pakistan got a penalty corner in the last minute of the match which the national player Abdul Rana took full advantage of and showed the way to the net.

Thus, Pakistan not only deprived India of a sure win at the last minute but also got two important points on the points table by drawing the match.

Pakistani goalkeeper Akmal Hussain was awarded the best player of the match.

The national team will play its second match in the event tomorrow against host Indonesia.
