Resolution submitted against unconstitutional stances of President Alvi in PA

ISLAMABAD: A resolution has been submitted on Thursday in the Punjab Assembly against the unconstitutional stances of President Dr Arif Alvi.

The resolution was submitted by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) members Hina Pervaiz Butt, Sadia Taimor and Sameera Komal.

The resolution holds that the House expresses strong reservations over the unconstitutional stances of the President
.
It also stated that the President has been running the office on his political party lines and Dr Arif Alvi along with former governor Omar Safraz Cheema and Speaker Punjab Assembly have mocked the constitution.

Not only this, the resolution also holds that the president has ignored the court orders and the advice of the prime minister twice.

The resolution underscored that President Arif Ali was no longer eligible to remain in the post, he should resign from the post morally.

Earlier, in the National Assembly on Wednesday, a resolution was approved with the majority votes against Dr Arif Alvi.

The resolution was approved over the issue of the Punjab Governor’s removal from the post maintaining that the move by the president was unnecessary and controversial.
