President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky sent a message to Australia from his secret war headquarters. Tom Steinfort, a reporter for Channel 9, traveled to Ukraine to meet President Zelensky in his secret war room.”Into his hidden inner sanctum to reveal the horror display that is this ongoing conflict,” President Zelensky had welcomed Steinfort. On Twitter, Steinfort described the encounter as “a fantastic joy to spend several days with President Zelensky.”

The 60 Minutes reporter visited with Zelensky, 41, in his homemade bunker, which has been his home since the conflict began. President Zelensky, clad in army green fatigues, sent a special greeting to Australia, stating that his people will never forget the assistance provided to Ukraine by Australia.

“I owe a debt of gratitude to the Australian people,” he remarked.

“You have previously aided us, which is true, but we require further assistance, which is also true.

“Please accept my apologies. I’m the president of a war-torn country.

“With such respect for friends like you, maybe my English isn’t excellent, I’m sorry dear Australian people, I’m really sorry, but I hope you understand my sentiments, and that’s the most important thing.”

“Ukraine will never forget.” Thank you very much for your assistance; it will be recorded in our history books.”
“60 Minutes, so my question is not brilliant,” Zelensky joked at the opening of the interview. “How long will it take?”

However, the atmosphere soon darkens. When asked how it feels to have individuals plotting his death, he expressed worry for others.

“Well, that’s ten assassination attempts, therefore only ten individuals are prepared to murder me,” Zelensky explained.

“That’s not awful, but when people are tortured and bodies are discovered in wells, I don’t believe my condition is that bad, but I’m scared for those people.
