Void left by Benazir Bhutto will never be fulfilled: PM Shehbaz

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has paid glowing tribute to slain Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairperson Benazir Bhutto on her 69th birth anniversary.

In a tweet on Tuesday, the prime minister said Pakistan’s democracy is poorer without Shaheed Mohtarama Benazir Bhutto and the void left by her martyrdom will never be filled.

“Our democracy is poorer without her & the void left by her martyrdom will never be filled. She fearlessly & staunchly advocated the causes she believed in. May Allah rest her soul in peace,” he said.

He said Benazir Bhutto fearlessly and staunchly advocated the causes she believed in. He also prayed for the departed soul of the former prime minister. “May Allah rest her soul in peace.”

The 69th birth anniversary of Benazir Bhutto was observed in a befitting manner on Tuesday as party activists and leaders paid tribute the first women Prime Minister from the Muslim World.

PPP chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and other party leaders will attend the cake cutting ceremony at Municipal Stadium Larkana.

Pakistan People’s Party has organized a public gathering. The party leaders and workers are converging at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh Bhutto to pay tribute to Benazir Bhutto.
