SINGAPORE: Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Friday met the Singaporean President Halimah Yacob during his official visit to Singapore and discussed enhanced engagement and mutually beneficial cooperation.

Bilawal, who arrived in Singapore on Thursday on an official visit, shared Pakistan’s desire to intensify cooperation with Associated of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also held a meeting with his Singaporean counterpart Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan and reviewed the state of bilateral relations. The two sides agreed to enhance bilateral engagements and cooperation.

On July 8, 2021, China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Chairman Lt-Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa (Retd) on Thursday invited the investors from Singapore to tap the huge opportunities being developed in the newly-established Special Economic Zones (SEZs) under CPEC.

“I invite you to come in here for the win-win opportunity as we have a huge young human resource and cheaper labour force,” he said, while addressing as the keynote speaker at a webinar on “Investment Opportunities in CPEC-related SEZs”.
