Amna Ilyas, a Pakistani model-turned-actress, has consistently spoken out against the prejudice that many people have towards those with dark skin. The 35-year-old star, whose dusky skin tone and sharp features put her as one of the most beautiful faces in the Pakistani entertainment industry, has had her fair share of bigotry and discrimination.

The Saat Din Mohabbat In actress recently made an appearance on The Talk Talk Show when she criticised the casting producers who don’t pick actors with darker or dusky skin colour. The Baaji actor talked about the challenges she encountered at the beginning of her career. Ilyas experienced discrimination on several occasions because her skin tone did not match that of her on-screen co-star.

Every other actor and actress in our entertainment sector will be fair and tall in height, according to the Gardaab actress. Ilyas cited the fraternity’s adoption of its own aesthetic criteria as the cause for this. The actress had a good career in both film and television, but Ilyas had far more luck in films than in dramas.

Ilyas’ upcoming acting roles include Driven, Mastani, and Gardaab.
