CTD arrests commander of Lyari gang war
KARACHI: Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Sindh has arrested the commander of the Lyari gang war and the arrested suspect is allegedly involved in encounters with police and Rangers.
The CTD Investigation Department in Karachi arrested the commander of the Lyari gang war while taking action.
The in-charge CTD said that the arrested accused Mir Muhammad Bakhsh Dashti is commander of the Waseem Jozi group. The accused has been arrested from Shaitan Chowk Old Golimar.
The in-charge of CTD said that the arrested accused is involved in encounters with the police and rangers, while he is also involved in serious crimes including murder, terrorism, and extortion.
The accused used to collect extortion from businessmen and hotel owners in Pak Colony while he was also involved in running a drug den.
CTD officials said that after recovering the weapon from the arrested accused the investigation is underway.
Earlier, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) killed four terrorists of banned outfit during operation in Turbat city of Balochistan on Thursday.
Heavy exchange of fire took place between the troops during operation, leaving four terrorists being gunned down.
CTD recovered huge quantity of arms and ammunition from the possession of slain terrorists.
