The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) of Punjab has issued a comprehensive warning to alert communities about potential flooding and heavy rainfall in various regions of the province. This alert covers districts including Murree, Rawalpindi, Lahore, and others, highlighting the imminent threat of adverse weather conditions.

The forecast, scheduled between February 18th and 19th, predicts heavy rains and hailstorms in key areas such as Attock, Sialkot, and Faisalabad. Additionally, moderate to light rainfall is expected in places like Multan and Bhakkar during the same period.

To mitigate risks and ensure preparedness, the PDMA has instructed District Disaster Management Authorities (DDMAs) to promptly implement necessary measures. Rescue teams and relevant authorities are urged to remain on high alert and equipped with essential resources to effectively handle emergencies.

For travelers, the PDMA stresses the importance of staying informed and seeking assistance from local authorities, police, and rescue services in case of any crisis. With potential hazards like flooding and landslides, travelers are advised to exercise caution and follow safety protocols.

Similarly, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued forecasts for moderate to heavy rains across Gilgit Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Islamabad, and Balochistan. Anticipating adverse weather conditions from February 18th to 20th, the NDMA warns of possible road closures and landslides, especially in Upper KP, Murree, and Gilgit Baltistan.
