5 Chinese killed in suicide attack in Shangla
PESHAWAR: As many as six people including five Chinese engineers were killed as a suicide bomber rammed a vehicle full of explosives into a vehicle in the Bisham area of Shangla district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Inspector General of Police (DIG) Malakand said the vehicle was going to Kohistan from Islamabad. Chinese engineers were going to the Dasu camp from Islamabad. Six people, including five Chinese nationals, have been killed in the suicide attack.
DIG Malakand has said that the attackers rammed a car full of explosives with the car of Chinese passengers.
The driver of the Chinese passenger car was injured and has been shifted to the hospital.
Later, the driver succumbed to his wounds during treatment.
A heavy contingent of security personnel arrived at the incident’s site and cordoned off the area. Security forces have launched a search operation in the area for the suspects.
Earlier, As many as four terrorists were killed during an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) conducted in Dera Ismail Khan District Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), an intense exchange of fire took place between the forces and the insurgents, whereas the killed terrorists were identified as Terrorist Mustafa, Terrorist Qismat Ullah and Terrorist Islam Ud Din.
