ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has called for a plan to expand National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) centers in 6 major cities in 7 days.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited NADRA headquarters where the Interior Minister was briefed on the digital monitoring system of NADRA centers across Pakistan.

Meanwhile, the interior minister called for a plan to increase NADRA centers in 6 major cities, while he has directed immediate steps to build more NADRA centers in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

Mohsin Naqvi has also ordered effective action to end the fake identity card mafia.

On this occasion, Mohsin Naqvi said that he had visited the NADRA centers, reviewed the situation, the people are facing difficulties. A plan should be made so that the people who come to the NADRA centers are comfortable and the work is done without delay.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has directed to finalize a plan to facilitate people for issuing and renewing their identity cards at union council level across the country within a few days.

For issuing ID cards to citizens, biometric machines will be installed at every union council across Pakistan.
