Travellers from Pakistan, India, and other countries planning to visit Dubai must adhere strictly to the entry guidelines to avoid being denied boarding at airports.
The Dubai authorities require that visitors carry at least 3,000 Dirhams in cash, a valid return ticket, and proof of accommodation while travelling to the United Arab Emirates for tourism.
A travel agent confirmed the enforcement of these guidelines, emphasizing that visitors must have a valid visa with a passport valid for at least six months and a return ticket.
These rules, though longstanding, were not rigorously enforced until recently. The UAE authorities have now intensified checks to curb overstaying and enhance tourism.
For Pakistanis, obtaining a tourist visa is essential, and it can be applied for through travel agents. The cost for a short-term single-entry UAE tourist visa from Pakistan is $90, allowing a stay of up to 30 days from the arrival date.

The visa processing time is approximately 3 to 4 working days, and entry into the UAE is subject to immigration approval.
All visas are valid for 60 days from the date of issue, except the 96-hour and 48-hour visas, which are valid for 30 days. Visitors must travel to and from Dubai on Emirates or codeshare flights only.
