IHC rejects PTI founder’s request to transfer Toshakhana case
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has fixed the petition against the ban on social media app X (formerly twitter) for hearing.
Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Aamer Farooq will hear the petition on February 6.
The last hearing on the petition against the ban on X was held on April 17 2024, while the case against the X ban was scheduled on May 2 and June 11 but could not be heard.
On November 22, a miscellaneous petition to schedule the case for early hearing was approved, after which Chief Justice Aamer Farooq directed to schedule the case after the winter vacation.
Earleir, Islamabad High Court (IHC) has restrained the federal capital and Punjab police from arresting Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf(PTI) leader Sher Afzal Marwat till December 20.
Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir, judge of Islamabad High Court, heard the plea regarding the provision of details of the cases of PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat.
During the hearing, on the order of the court, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Legal presented the record of the Cell FIR in the court.
