
NA panel orders FIA to probe Mustafa Aamir murder case
ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Interior has ordered the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to investigate the Mustafa Aamir murder case.
The case of Mustafa Aamir, who was killed after being abducted by a friend, has also reached the National Assembly. After that, the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Interior ordered the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to probe the matter.
On the other hand, the Anti –Narcotics Force (ANF) has also been ordered to investigate the Mustafa Aamir murder case.
The National Assembly Standing Committee has also formed a sub -committee in the Mustafa Aamir case.
According to the notification, the committee also included former Federal Minister Abdul Qadir Patel, Member National Assembly Agha Rafi Ullah, MNA Nabil Gabol and MNA Khawaja Izhar ul Hasan from Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).
The committee has summoned Inspector General Sindh Police at the next meeting in the Mustafa Aamir case.
Earlier, a high-level meeting at the Chief Minister House chaired by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah discussed progress of Mustafa Amir murder case.
Senior officers from the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC), and Special Investigation Unit (SIU) brief the chief minister on the progress of the case.
