Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir, held a significant meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump.

According to the official press release issued by Prime Minister office following the talks, the leaders discussed a wide range of topics including regional security, mutual cooperation, and expanding economic partnerships.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised President Trump, calling him a “champion of peace,” and appreciated his sincere efforts toward resolving global conflicts. The Prime Minister lauded Trump’s bold and decisive leadership, stating that it played a pivotal role in preventing a major catastrophe in South Asia.

Prime Minister specifically thanked President Trump for facilitating a ceasefire between Pakistan and India during a critical time.
