RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s security forces eliminated 31 terrorists during successful intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the military’s media wing confirmed on Monday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations were conducted on September 13 and 14 in Lakki Marwat and Bannu districts, targeting terrorist hideouts based on credible intelligence.

In Lakki Marwat, security forces engaged militants at one of their strongholds, where an intense exchange of fire took place. As a result, 14 terrorists, identified as India-sponsored, were killed, the ISPR said.

Similarly, in Bannu, another intelligence-led operation was conducted in which 17 terrorists were killed.

The ISPR further stated that sanitization operations are continuing in both districts to clear the areas of any remaining militant presence.

The armed forces remain determined to eliminate India-sponsored terrorism and ensure lasting peace in the country.

Earlier, Security forces conducted three separate intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on September 9 and 10, eliminating a total of 19 foreign terrorists, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The operations were aimed at eradicating anti-state elements and ensuring the safety and security of the civilian population.

According to t ISPR, the first major operation took place in the Guluno area of District Mohmand, where intense exchange of fire occurred between the security forces and the terrorists. As a result, 14 foreign terrorists were neutralized.
