Good news for electricity consumers

NEPRA reduces power tariff by 9 paisa per unit

NEPRA have reduced CPPA market operator fees.

NEPRA has issued a decision on the market operating fee for CPPA 2018-19, while also allowing CPPA to receive Rs 39 crore from consumers in terms of market operating fees.

CPPA was earlier receiving more than Rs 45 crore in terms of market operating fees, while CPPA had requested to collect Rs 80 crore in terms of fees.

NEPRA has decided to ensure the submission of quarterly report authority regarding CPPA circular debt and provide capital payment data to the power plants on a monthly basis.

NEPRA’s decision will not apply to K electric consumers.
