Applicants include 5,500 transgenders for the housing program

Over 5,500 transgender persons have applied for the Naya Pakistan Housing Program.

According to the data issued by the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra), over 1.9 million people have submitted for Naya Pakistan Housing Program. The figure includes 5,500 transgender persons. The figure also includes 34,654 widows, 9325 divorced women, 184,355 slum dwellers, and 715,473 labor class people.

The number of applications is steadily increasing.

According to details, one million out of 1,918,000 applicants have applied online for the program.

The spokesperson has said that most of the applicants belonged to Islamabad; 259,276 applicants from Islamabad have submitted their application. Apart from that, 22,089 applicants are from Lahore district, 57,442 are from Bahawalpur, 77,569 are from Multan, 44,685 are from Peshawar district and 121,759 are from Karachi district.

It should be remembered that the last date of submission of the applications is December 15, 2019.
