Prime Minister Imran Khan met his Singaporean counterpart Lee Hsien Loong in Davos, on the sidelines of World Economic Forum (WEF) 2020.

PM Imran Khan met Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong in Davos at WEF 2020 meeting.

Bilateral relations and ways and means to strengthen economic ties were discussed during the meeting.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Advisor on Finance Dr. Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, Advisor on Commerce Abdul Razaq Dawood, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to UN at Geneva Ambassador Khalil Hashmi and senior officials were also present.

Prime Minister Imran Khan also called on President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on Tuesday, on the sidelines of World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos.

Bilateral relations and ways and means to strengthen economic ties were discussed during the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, PM Imran Khan, apprised President of Azerbaijan about grave rights violations in the Indian occupied Kashmir.

“The valley is under lockdown from August 5, the day when BJP-government stripped Iok’s special status.”

He said Indian acts are threat to peace in the region and the world should take action in this regard.

The prime minister lauded Azerbaijan’s role on the Kashmir issue as a member of OIC.

The president Iiham Aliyev invited Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan to visit Azerbaijan.

Both the leaders agreed to further strengthen the bilateral relations between both the countries.

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan called on US President Donald Trump at World Economic Forum 2020 in Davos.

After the meeting, President Donald  Trump said that the US and Pakistan have “never been this close as we are now”.

Trump referred PM Imran Khan as his “friend” and said that “it is an honour to meet him.

Trump shows willingness to visit Pakistan says FM Qureshi 

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi  said that the President Donald Trump has showed willingness to visit Pakistan soon.

According to the details, FM Qureshi said this after a Pakistani-delegation led by PM Imran met the US President at the sidelines of the WEF meeting.

FM Qureshi said that we had a very fruitful meeting with the US president.

The premiere had also raised key issues with the US president, he said.
