Minister for Religious Affairs Dr Noor-ul-Haq Qadri has called on Saudi Ambassador Nawaf al-Malki in Islamabad .

According to the details, both Pakistan and Kingdom Saudi Arabia have agreed to work together to protect Umrah and Hajj pilgrims from coronavirus.

They decided that the strategy will be collectively devised by Ministries of Religious Affairs, Information, Health, Civil Aviation and Saudi Embassy.

Meanwhile Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Heath Dr. Zafar Mirza said that there are no cases of coronavirus in Pakistan.

Dr. Zafar Mirza said while addressing the press conference that the suspected coronavirus patients have been cleared.

He also informed that no cases has been confirmed among people who came from China to Pakistan.

He said, “I received the passengers at the airport myself. Pakistan has received testing kits to diagnose the virus which has been imported from different countries and is being used to check the suspected patients.”

Chinese ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing also accompanied Zafar Mirza at the press conference. He informed that the death toll in China due to deadly coronavirus has reached to 371. He also said that they are struggling to control the challenge.

He said, “We have canceled all ceremonies nationwide and are apprising the world of our steps against the outbreak”

The Chinese Ambassador was also thankful to Pakistan for the support. He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had sent a letter to China’s President Xi Jinping.

“A large number of Pakistanis is present in China and we consider them our compatriots. Twelve Chinese nationals, including four businessmen, have arrived in Pakistan today.

“All individuals are examined for two weeks before being allowed to travel and those who have reached Pakistan today were also permitted to travel after strict monitoring. China also made arrangements for the return of Pakistani nationals.”
