Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President and the opposition leader in the National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif said that Prime Minister Imran Khan gave concession to his ‘friends’ by not making investigation report of the ongoing wheat and sugar crisis public.

According to the details, , in a statement, Shehbaz Sharif said that the PTI government’s silence over the crisis is equivalent to confessing the crime.

He further said that Imran Khan  has proven that he is an accomplice of the culprits by not making the report public.

Shehbaz Sharif said that the Prime Minister House should be raided in order to arrest the smugglers and hoarders of wheat and sugar.

PML-N President said that those behind hoarding and profiteering of edibles should be brought forth.

Earlier, Prime Minister admitted that wheat crisis is originated due to the government’s negligence

Imran Khan was addressing the ceremony of distribution of Sehat Insaaf Cards in Lahore on today (Feb 15).

Imran Khan, while referring to current inflation in the country, said the contributing reasons are currency depreciation and account deficits due to policies of previous governments. He said inquiry is being held to ascertain the reasons for increase in price of sugar. He said elements involved in profiteering and hoarding of flour and sugar will be taken to task.

The Prime Minister said the government is taking steps to move towards welfare model of the state and our priority is to uplift the weakest segments of society.

Prime Minister said Pakistan will be transformed into a great nation on the pattern of state of Madinah.
