Mir Shakil ur Rehman – Jang Press and Geo TV owner has arrested by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) today (Thursday).
According to the sources, the NAB spokesperson has confirmed the arrest of the Editor in chief of the Jang/Geo group.
The sources also said that he was arrested after the approval of chairman NAB.
Earlier this day, Mir Shakil ur Rehman appeared before NAB Lahore today in a private property case. he couldn’t satisfy NAB authorities during investigations.
NAB arrested Mir because he didn’t have the appropriate answers about a concession given by the government on a 54 Kanal land in Lahore.

He had built his house on that land.
The sources said that Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman allegedly acquires 54 Kanal land as a bribe from former Chief Minister of Punjab.

It is pertinent to mention that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had summoned the owner of the media group Mir Shakil Ur Rahman.
Sources told Bol News that National Accountability Bureau (NAB), anti-graft body has summoned Mir Shakil Ur Rahman on March 5.
Mir Shakil ur Rahman was directed to appear before the Lahore Branch of NAB.
