Qureshi, Buzdar discusses establishment of Southern Punjab secretariat

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government took a step ahead towards the Southern Punjab secretariat today (Saturday).

According to the Radio Pakistan, veteran PTI leader from south Punjab and foreign Minister of the country – Shah Mahmood Qureshi called on Chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar at Chief Minister in Lahore.

Both notables discussed matters of mutual interest, overall political situation, and establishment of Southern Punjab secretariat during the meeting.

In the meeting, the chief minister said the government is paying attention to the progress of backward and far-flung areas.

Usman Buzdar added that the incumbent government will fulfill the promise to establish a secretariat in Southern Punjab.

He said that people of southern Punjab were given false hope through political promises and former rulers utilized the funds of southern Punjab in their respective constituencies.

People of southern Punjab rejected those who hoodwinked them on the name of development.

PTI got a wonderful mandate from southern Punjab and the government will honour that mandate. PTI government will fulfill all its promises made with the people of southern Punjab at any cost.

People of southern Punjab will get their due right and every district, every city, and the village will be included in the process of development. Chapter of unjustified distribution of development funds has been closed.

Usman Buzdar further maintained that all the administrative preparations regarding the establishment of the southern Punjab secretariat are completed and the promise made with people in this regard will be fulfilled.

He said that under Access to Village Project, roads of rural areas will be repaired and constructed. New hospitals, colleges, and universities will be set up in southern Punjab.

The only agenda of the government is to serve the masses. Foundation of a journey for progress and prosperity of common man has been laid, cm concluded.
